Got up 0445, got ready, drove 50 + miles to Hamburg Train Meet, unloaded
truck, moved in & set up, sold almost nothing, like most other people,
packed up, re-loaded, returned home. Several people looked at my remaining
new
SHS & AM mdse, but, since I wasn't giving it away and carrying it to
their cars, I brought it home. Sold a TRACK WACKER, handy item to have in
any
train room.
Gas prices all over the place, from 3.719 to 3.879, maybe -------???

Slept late, kissed wife, wandered into bathroom, did you-know-what,
brushed teeth, went to closet, put on bathrobe, then slippers, scratched dog,
strolled to kitchen, opened fridge, gazed at contents, grabbed peach, peeled
same, sliced it, covered with Corn Flakes (Kellogg's), then milk, got spoon,
pulled out chair, sat down, ate flakes while reading the new Model
Railroader magazine. Overall, a rather typical beginning to a new day. Ed L.

> It was a good day. The weather finally cleared up from the hurricane
remnants to be mid 70s. Saw a great Mustang and Shelby show this morning at
Holman Ford. Donna and the doggies came with me. Charlie Leonard met us
there and came back here to start the layout work season back up again. We
got through most of the code 100 turnouts hopefully taking out some of the
clunks and bangs for better operation from when I first put them in. I have 1
more turnout in progress but ran out of day. Tomorrow morning I should
finish it and see how well we did
