My highest priority project is DONE!!! I finally ripped out the 3 mainline
turnouts and replaced them. I have wanted to replace those turnouts **since
I put them in** about a year+ ago. It's a beautiful thing to not have grand
canyon sized holes in the middle of the frog or derailments! I ran my K4
with my PRSL train and E8 with the shorter head end train though the new
turnouts for about 15 minutes without issue. The B60 hated those old
turnouts. They had about 40 spikes each hiding them in gauge. 2 of them did
not survive removal. The new turnouts don't have any spikes and are rock
solid.

I just have to open up 1 point gap a bit. The older wider AM wheelsets span
the gap and give a flash short.

I am going with the P48 casting sets for future SHS rail turnouts.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
