Subject: [PCL] Full width diaphragms

Even in the early days full width diaphragms could be troublesome. Here is a
link to a YouTube video I cited on the Espee List recently, showing--in an SP
publicity film no less!--the brand new Daylight with a defective FWD flapping
in the wind. Apparently no one at SP noticed it, as it appears >twice< in this
film. :-)

Ditto the elimination of the troublesome full width diapraghms. It wasn't until
the mid 60s that consists started to be mixed up from the as-intended makeup of
trains.
