A typo. Schenectady started welding the cab and hood in 1954, and I think 
Montreal did as well.

The walkway thing is curious. It looks like some GTW and CV S2s and RS1s had 
the full-size grating over the radiator vent (the intake shutters are on the 
sides), but most other roads had the typical narrow walkway on theirs.
