Earl,

The City of New Orleans and Panama Limited are pretty much dreams at this
point. I've started looking at the stuff available from The Supply Car*, but
haven't figured out the full consist yet. More than likely, I'll purchase the
AM E-8s and the Budd cars (however incorrect they may be) to use as a stand-in
until I can get the rest of the train built. Operationally, these trains just
made stops at the town I'm modeling, so not having a full consist will only
hurt in appearance.

If you model the Panama Limited after 1967, it wouldn't be un-prototypical to
have coaches in the consist. The IC dropped most of it's coach-only passenger
trains and combined one of them (the Magnolia Star) with the Panama Limited. I
think these two essentially operated as different trains on the same schedule,
i.e. the coaches were all up front and the Panama consist was on the rear.

Thanks for all of the responses on the radius question!

Regards,
Rhett Graves
