Subject: {S-Scale List} expanding track
After I fixed the humpty I sent earlier I did some wiggling of other track to
find it was under some tension as well. 1 turnout rail grew, filled a gap and
shorted. Maybe I did not leave enough gaps when I laid the track. So on both
mainlines I removed short sections and gave them a trim.
Here all along I though hot = expansion and cool = contraction. It is probably
mid 60s in my basement now. It might get a little hotter in the summer but
still… Maybe someone has an explanation as to why my track grew in multiple
places in the middle of winter!
