Dave, Either way, that's some great track work. I'm re-doing my modules and
Lee has volunteered to help me upgrade the track, so I know it will be as
nice as yours. How many more crossings are you putting in?

Gary,
There are actually two crossings of the Sn2. There is the one at the edge
of the picture where the Sn2 crosses two dual gauge S/Sn3 tracks just
after the last frog of a curved dual gauge turnout. The second was one I just
wired today, and that is just a standard gauge track crossing the Sn2
mainline, also with both routes curved. Actually I think we were talking
about
the second one. And I’m not finished with crossings.
I didn’t mention it, but after Bert left, I also test ran the extension of
the Sn2 mainline which was also part of my latest track work.

Dave, Congratulations on your maiden run. Is that the Sn2 crossing you
were talking about in the photo?

My standard gauge mainline loop became operational this afternoon. My
friend Bert Mahr came over for a visit and helped me finish the last of the
wiring. After we found and corrected a few problems, like the two pieces of
rail I forgot to wire, we successfully operated a train around the standard
gauge mainline. Most of the track is dual gauge S/Sn3 but there are two s
ections where it is only standard gauge. All handlaid with Code 83 and 70
rail. I placed a picture of the train in the L&W folder. With all the
recent talk about Spiral Hill hoppers, I used mine in the train. The Sn3
mainline completion should follow in a few months.
