I have several "HO" friends here in the Kansas City area that have been using the suitcase connectors for 15 years and none of these guys
have had any problems with them. Absolutely none! The key to all of this is stranded wire. Myself, on the other hand, have found unsoldered connections that where missed when I started the layout over 20 years ago. The key to all of this is stranded wire. An unsoldered connection might work for 5 or 10 years, then out of the blue, they don't. Suitcase connectors are either connected or they're not. They either work or they don't.
