    That is no surprise to anyone who knows how these things are designed. 
There's no reason to use less space for the mechanical parts if you don't plan 
to use the space for something else. The only question is how much the tradeoff 
hurts the performance and if the enhanced sound is worth it? 
 Many buyers will accept a lot of deterioration of performance for more bells 
and whistles it seems.I'm more a performance oriented guy, I want it to run the 
best it can and let the sound play second fiddle. Plain old tsunami is enough 
noise for me.....DaveBranum
