I think another articulated train is the Nebraska Zephyr that is in the
Illinois RR museum with an E5 on the nose, Photos attached...

I got curious and checked my notes on surviving articulated cars. It seems that
articulated passenger cars of any kind are very rare today. There are fewer
remaining that I had thought. Here are details on the cars already mentioned
with a few additions:

TRIPLE-UNIT DINERS:
1. Ex-SP Lark Club #10277-10279. This is the set that the City of Grapevine, TX
just purchased for use on their Vintage Steam Railroad operation in Grapevine.
This is one of only two Lark Clubs built. It was used as a "special event"
venue on the Garrett "Whistle Stop Ranch" near Bullard, TX. It is doubtful that
this set will be restored as a full diner/lounge.

2. Ex-SP Cascade diner #10280-10282 being restored by PLA at Niles Canyon
Railway.

TWIN-UNIT CHAIR CARS:
1. Ex-SP #2498-2499. This is the set owned by the Algoma Central and sold to
Montana Rail Link. They are in Tacoma, WA being rebuilt as "luxury" cars.
Whatever that means.

2. Ex-SP #2473-2474. This set is owned by the PLA and is at Niles Canyon
Railway.

3. Ex-SP #unknown. Sold to California Western and owned by Rail america. Last
stored at Benson, AZ but being sold.

There are aklso two additional sets (road and numbers unknown) being rebuilt
for service on the Columbia Star dinner train in MO.

That's a pretty short list. I guess we can add the Flying Yankee under
restoration for operation (some day) by the state of NH and the Zephyr set at
the Chicago Museum of Science & Industry.
