There is FS160 which uses the finer scale standards of the UK 2mm
scale Association on 9mm gauge - 2mmFS gauge is 9.42mm which is
accurate for their 1:152 (2mm:ft) scale.

It's not Proto:N but fine scale standards that modellers in the UK
have found practical for many years.

Back to S, like Simon Dunkley, I've been using UK exact scale
standards for 30-odd years and they work well - I'm just making a set
of loco drivers at the moment to these standards and will be using a
form tool supplied by the UK S Scale Society to finish off the tyres.
In fact you don't get much choice in the UK if you model the UK
prototype - its the exact standards, or nothing. :-)
