Hi Ed; Rail brown, Floquil Rust is too bright. It looks like new rust, not rust that darkens over time.
As an alternative, Lance Mindheim recommends Rustoleum Brown Camouflage paint in rattle cans for painting track. In either case, be sure to have ventilation and a respirator!
