Bob's GP7 is stunning no doubt. I thought it was ironic he was making 8551 which is identical to 8553 that ran on the PRSL and what I am making. We are just coming at it from different directions. I foresee making TWO items - the antenna receiver and train control box. I actually already have the receiver made for a refurbishing of my GP9. Bob did serious body work to use the SSA GP7 hood kits. In the end I think Bob would have gone through more effort.
If Bob would have just sold me his loco just BEFORE he decaled 8551 on it this could have all been avoided!
