Well, the basic framework did already exist and I only needed to add code for the \(...\) subpatterns. Please note that Tuesday or Wednesday, there will be a new version that implements support for escaping the s/from/to/ separator with a \. I added this after I discovered that this is how the closed source pax from AIX, HP-UX and Solaris works and I use spax as an OSS pax replacement on OpenSolaris.
