Hi Tim,
I am glad to see the report on Timko Motors. I have remotored all my engines
with the new flywheel version. Except for my Franklin engine. frank made a
special non-flywheel motor for it. The motors are exceptionally good runners.
I have been running one for may June and July at the museum in Middletown
Ohio. it runs every day for 4 hours except on Mondays. The only maintenance
has been to clean the wheels.
I am also going to switch over to DCC within the next year. Frank and I have
become very good friends. I have also made friends with a gentleman that
sells DCC by Lenz. Incredible stuff for 150.00 dollars. I wish I could have
made the convention, but Delphi has us working 7 days a week before they lay
us off.
If you haven't tried a Timko motor yet, they are well worth the price of
29.95 or 4 for 100.00 dollars. I believe Frank still has them priced this
way. I know I'll never go back to the old motors.
