Mike has an excellent product IMHO. It works extremely well and smell takes me back 50 Years to Christmas when Dad would set up the Flyer set and run his K5.
I use it in all my AF steamers and have been very happy with it. It is thin enough to wick up in older smoke units and doesn't leave any residue. You can try to homebrew your own, but why try to re-invent the wheel. It was about the best that I could find. It reacted with the cedar oil in a very unpleasant way, as many of you that tried my first 2-3 attempts.
