As I doubt I will ever get around to completing these engines, I thought I'd offer 
them to someone who might want to take shot at building a brass engine. The original 
source for these kits is the old S Scale Loco and Supply of St. Louis when the company 
was still owned by Claud Wade. I would hate to see these kits become part of an estate 
sale sometime in the future.

    These are S scale. I will not piece-out either engine as I feel there is some 
historic significance associated with the kits. These kits are no longer available and 
probably won't be for the foreseeable future. To avoid shipping charges, I plan to 
attend the S West IV in Stockton, CA October 24-26 and can make the kits available 
then.

Kit #1:
    Alco C&O K-3 Heavy Mike 2-8-2 with a Vandy Tender. Includes complete instructions 
for engine and tender. Also includes SSL&S Parts Instruction Book which gives generic 
instructions for engine and tender construction. Drive wheels are quartered, run-in 
with side rods attached, and mounted in the brass frame. No other work has been done 
on this engine. All parts as originally packed by SSL&S included--a total engine and 
tender assembly. Asking $500 plus shipping.

Kit #2:
    Nickel Plate S-3 Berkshire 2-8-4 with tender. Includes complete instructions for 
engine. Also includes SSL&S Parts Instruction Book which gives generic instructions 
for engine and tender construction. Drive wheels are quartered, run-in with side rods 
attached, and mounted in the brass frame. Engine construction is about one-third 
complete including boiler with cab attached, pilot assembly, trucks, compressor 
shield, and other sub assemblies. Tender is untouched. All parts as originally packed 
by SSL&S included--a total engine and tender assembly. Asking $600 plus shipping.
