Hi Folks,

I've been working to add two new features to http://www.s-
scaletrains.com.

1- A compilation of hobby shops across the land who stock some kind
of S scale. The list was culled from the dealer lists at the AM and
SHS websites as well as some tips I got on the S-Trains list when a
modeler asked for hobby shops in the Boston area. I was amazed and
pleased at the large number of dealers that AM and SHS have built up
over the years. It would be great to add more so I'll be kicking off
an "S Friendly Hobby Shop" campaign. I wrote about it in the next
Dispatch. There are shops in 40 of the 50 states, so we can try to
target the 10 who don't have any listed dealers. They are: OR, NV,
MT, WY, ND, SD, LA, KY, MS and VT. I hope you can look the list over
and make some suggestions. I'll be trying to add email addresses and
websites to the list in the future, but obviously that will take some
time. It's at www.s-scaletrains.com/sfriendly or go to www.s-
scaletrains.com and click on "S Friendly Hobby Shops".

2- I'm putting together an on-line "Buyer's Guide" based on the NASG
brochure, past MRN S-Curves columns and other sources. Once again, I
hope I get plenty of input from all of you folks. It's at
http://www.s-scaletrains.com/sbuyer or go to www.s-scaletrains.com
and click on "S Scale Buyer's Guide".

My site is only one of many good ones that our scale has and I feel
that the internet is extremely important in promoting S in the 2000's.

Thanks,
Roy
