S Scalers:

Even if this subject has already been discussed, in my opinion we owe much to Keith B.
Thompson, Gary Ippolito, and Roger Nulton for fine displays of high-quality modeling,
regardless of scale, and to Don Heimburger for letting us see their work. Other than
being w-a-a-a-a-y too short, which was probably not his call, Keith's B1 switcher
article is wonderful, showing as it does, superb scratchbuilding. My hat is off to
him for his skills and the inspiration he provides. Gary 's 'Big John" kitbash is a
knockout, even if the article is again too short. Kitbash seems too inferior a term
to describe putting together two cars to get one new one. It looks to be a beautiful
model.

We have been treated by two talented scale modelers who pay close attention to
prototype fidelity. The articles were short but I am so glad they were published.

Finally, we should cheer Roger Nulton's fine looking Monon layout. We only saw enough
to realize there was some excellent modeling going on. More inspiration.

I hope all these gentlemen continue to share their work.
