While we're asking questions about DC, I have one to add: how do you create a DC common rail system? I use an AC common rail system and the common rail makes a huge improvement in power distribution throughout my layouts. The only DC common rail circuit i have is from Electric Handbook for Model Railroaders by Mallory and Mallory, 1955. It uses two power sources, one for + and one for -, with a common ground to the common rail. Is there any other way to do it?
