One thing that's interesting: this page shows the tank car in both S and O gauges. Naturally, the S gauge car is smaller than the O. But the platform around the tank car dome is about the same size in S as in O. That is to say, it is ridiculously oversized for S. I think this is true of most "Flyonel" tank cars I have seen. By the way, it looks like you don't have to be a TCA member to buy the cars. I guess they are glad to take your money either way ;-).
