Yes, I think they are meant to be used as a guide. However, my experience had been
that to a lot of people, they are the bible on Flyer prices. Moreover, while the
price listed is for excellent, a lot of people: 1) don't seem to understand that; and
2) are too generous with their grading of excellent. I've seen lots of very good
pieces "graded" as excellent. Funny, tho', that It's real hard to find truly
excellent pieces graded less. Oh well, isn't this all what makes it so much fun?

  Subject: [S-Trains] TM vs. Greenberg.....

I haven't really compared much,...but I have found items of mine, are listed at a
higher
value in TM's book, over the Greenberg book.
I must say I do like the detailed descriptions/pictures, of the larger GB book,...
the TM and GB pocket guides are great
for a quick price check at a show or where ever. To me, I have found more
variations, or descriptions of,..in the GB book,
compared to the TM pocket guide. Seems certain descriptions were vague in the TM
book to me,....course it is designed
for QUICK reference, much like the pocket guide of GB.
And the bottom line is,....they are JUST a guide!!

  Rick.
