To railfans of all stripes: This morning at 7:35, and for the first time since December 1, 1985, a regularly scheduled passenger train arrived at Union Station Kansas City, boarded passengers and fifteen minutes later, headed for Chicago. Pete and Carolyn McMasters, the couple who bought the last ticket for the last train out of the Station, bought the first ticket this morning. Not to put too dramatic a point on it, but for railfans it was a magic moment. And in that blue, hazy morning light, not a bad photo opportunity. Trains are back in Union Station. Cheers :) Roy Inman
