The movie was accurate to me in that, as a child during WWII, all of us kids had an Erector set, a Lionel train, Lincoln Logs and a chemistry set, usually by Gilbert, though Lionel also sold a few. Seeing vintage Lionel running over Erector bridges looked right to me. If the era was WWI then I assume the Lionel was std. gauge and don't know about the vintage accuracy of the particular trains shown. S gauge was almost 40 years away yet!
