Tom, I don't know about the magnetic paint, but before you get too excited, you should keep in mind one other limitation of these cars: batteries. They have an on-board, rechargable NiMH battery that is good for three to nine minutes. After that, you have to pick up the car and put it in the re-charging cradle for 45 to 90 seconds; then you get another three to nine minutes, and so on.
I suppose there just isn't room in these cars for any more battery capacity than that. The manufacturer makes parts and "hop-up" kits so you can change tires, gear ratios, etc. Sizes of the cars (for those who are really into scale operation) are shown on the website. They are about the same size as Hot Wheels cars, but they have a wire antenna that sticks up an inch or so.
