I guess I am about the only guy who thought the boxy look of the Alco PAs
was, well, boxy-looking, as in not very attractive.
But the unique livery and pop culture aspect of the Silver Flash overcame
the not so streamlined looks of the Alco.
The Northern 4-8-4 ain't bad.

BTW, the author states that the Royal Blue was
"arguably American Flyer's...best-looking locomotive"
followed by the 370 GM GP-7.  I disagree and believe
that the Alco PAs were arguably the best looking
locomotives (especially the Santa Fes) followed by the
B6b 0-6-0 PRR switcher with slope-back tender.  What
do you guys think?
