Thorin & All,

I can appreciate your concern for the doors and hatches on my rolling stock.
I have previously Super Glued a few shut. But they seemed to have a way of
coming loose over time. That leaves a patch of bare brass that must be
repaired to match the paint. I also realized something. that there is
NOTHING inside to see!

I give you the following car.
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/billlane/X32a.jpg This is a beautiful PRR
boxcar that River Raisin made a number of years ago. I wanted a one of a
kind car, so I removed the original opening end doors to make it PRR class
X32a. I then added a prototypical draft gear, with an accurate paint and
weathering job. Yes, the remaining doors are soldered shut. I would like to
think that ANYONE on this list would be able to appreciate that this is a
one of a kind superdetailed car and my paintwork to the point that sliding
doors are insignificant. As previously mentioned, there are PLENTY of
plastic cars that have sliding doors.

Thanks
Bill
