Gentlemen...a couple of weeks ago(?) I recall a lot of discussion of "converting" the K-Line Big Boy to run on "S" gauge track. I had a chance to look at one at a local train shop and here are my thoughts..First, the drivers are all "metal" , one would probably want to use original AF drivers, in order to insulate the chassis. I think one would have to drill out the driver centres to fit the existing shaft diameter. Driver diameter between the AF wheel and the K-Line driver are close. The big problem I see is, how to reduce the chassis width, down to 5/8", where one can install drivers at the proper "gauge". The only way to do this is to either machine the existing chassis down to 5/8" width over all or fabricate a new frame. In the event one is successful in using the existing chassis, it looks to me that the "gear" tower for the motor mount looks like it might "foul" the newly re-gauged drivers. Probably, could be done(however, not by me$$$$). The next best thing we can all do is E-Mail K-Line directly and ask them if they will bring out this 1/64 beauty WITH "S"gauge running gear!!!(that's what I have done) Al Kielek
