Well, guys on the list also sell! A seller is hoping for a fair price, but that could be influenced by this "not bidding against list members" thing. Last I checked, this list has over 500 members, which must represent a sizable portion of the active Flyer guys around.
The last time this subject came up, I made a statement that started one heck of a discussion, so I will make it again and be practice target for a while! :-) "I like you guys a lot, but if I notice you are bidding on a item that I really want, you better stay out of my way!" :-) Actually, someone I know took an auction from me last week in the last 30 seconds when I was at work. I wasn't real happy, but ended up getting the same item, in better condition, for a few bucks more a couple days later. Sometimes things just work out the way they are supposed to....
