I just got back from a train show. Naturally there wasn't much Flyer available. However there was one dealer who had two of the most sought after sets.....the Union Pacific and the Northern Pacific. Heanted $550 for the UP and $500 for the NP. The engines and cars were in great shape, no broken parts etc. There were a few steps...portholes missing. Here's the thing, they were both repainted. The UP set had a B unit with it in addition to the AA and the NP had an extra vista dome car I think. Now...would any of you buy those? Someone there suggested I would be better off buying the reissues. I would say they are excelllent for the operator with a little detailing. One thing...the name plats on the UP set were chipped so it is possible those weren't repainted. Thanks! Gene
