Dear Jack:
Laser Horizons makes sides. You have to attach them yourself to an AM
shell. The sides come in two thicknesses.

Thick and you cut away the entire side of the car, keeping the ends, roof,
and floor intact.
Thin and you just cut away the window area where the window holes and the
thin sides conflict.

I chose to go with the thin sides for three reasons:
1. More of the original AM car is left intact.
2. The thin sides are about the correct depth to the windows so if you
make a sandwich of side, sheet of 'windows', and then the car, it should
look really good. (Obviously I need to mask the windows while I paint. I
will ask for help when I get this far.)
3. I am a much better talker than do'er. I figure the less cutting I do
gives me fewer chances to destroy rather than build....

I have cc'ed Dennis Laser Horizons with this e-mail and I have a special
request:
Dennis: would you please post what you currently offer to the S
Lists? Thanks!

So where did I get the unpainted coach I will be putting my thin sides onto?
I asked Ron of American Models for one in August of last year. He sent me
an unassembled, undecorated coach (for a price) and it is beautiful! It is
so nice I have minor guilty pangs about cutting up this perfect shell.

Thorin,
Who is Laser Horizons re: their "S" diner you spoke about in your post? Is
it an 80' car? What is the price and contact information? I too need a
diner to go with my U.P. 80' AM cars.

The problem I had with Scheiner is that their roofs are not detailed as
compared to the AM 80' models. How about the Laser Horizons diner?
