I have noticed that some SHS couplers will not always close well with AF couplers. This is more true with LTI and SHS.
Seems to be a tolerance issue relative to distance from close knuckle to throat. The throat contacts one knuckle latches it and bottoms out while the other knuckle doesn't get closed to the latch point . I have removed flash in the throat position and this has made it better.
