I don't know how long it is, but the Dunsmuir, CA turntable is still in place, and used almost daily. It is big enough to turn SP 4449, not a small Northern at that! I'll have to look around to see if I can find the specs. UP recently replaced the control house on it, I wish they'd restored the old one instead, but it was wood. S' David D. PS The last part of the roundhouse there caved in during a blizzard back around '65. some small parts of the roundhouse walls are still in place, and some windows are in a nearby restaurant building.
