Stack the roadbed on edge in the family dishwasher. Put your favorite dishwasher soap in and turn it on. Check occasionally on the first batch to make sure it is not moving in the racks. Let it dry and apply "Armorall". Our buddy Jeff (the MAYTAG man) did several loads in his dishwasher for our Christmas Open House layout this year. Looks great. Linda ran ALL the track we used thru a wire wheel (gently) then buffed with GREEN ScotchBrite pads. All we wanted was the top of the rail clean. Looked good, was easy to keep clean. Layout was successful, we have been invited back this Christmas, and given more layout space.
