This is to let you know that Volume II of J.L. Cowen's postwar
Lionel trains will be published on or before March 5, 2003.
You can find a synopsis of this manual at:
http://www.trainrefs.com
This manual covers Motorized Units, Rolling Stock (Electrically Operated
Cars) and Accessories. It also includes postwar whistles and remote
control track switches.
Facing a dwindling supply of wound parts, the publication of this manual
provides a recourse to "shelving" a unit, or parting it out, when a wound
component finally dies, or APPEARS to be going bad. Taking all the
publications, and the web updates together, it is hoped that every
Postwar American Flyer S-Gauge and every Postwar Lionel O-Gauge
wound part not only has a past, but now has a future (every part, that is,
with the exception of transformers, tuned coils and bimetallic strips).
