I just don't get it!!! If you change out the motors for can motors, change the track for HO style track,change the electrical system to TM�� or DCC, and change the wheels, what do you have left? Why bother with Flyer in the first place? Just buy all new stuff and send your old useless Flyer to me and David Dewey!
It reminds me of the Bert & I comedy routine about the sausage: "Once you clean it, there ain't nothin'much to it!" And by the way, if you do achieve freer rolling trucks, you will need new couplers too. Flyer couplers rely on a little wheel drag to open and close. So you will have to change those as well.
