Plastic should not be in the frog of turnouts.
I am planning to make a switch that will work with scale and AF trains.

For my own use only. I would need a large order to get me to mass
produce it.
Instead of putting plastic in the frog I will have a gap in the rails.
The switch machine will switch the power ( left to right) so there will
not be a short circuit.
There have been many articles on this subject so I am not going to go
over it.
What amazes me is. How come the guys making this in volume can't do it?

Even it is just for scale?
It is real simple once a person gets used to the process.
