True but the difference is negligible. I had huge layouts when I was into HO and saved a bundle using Plaster of Paris instead of Hydrocal, and never had any troubles due to hardness. In some cases you can also use Drywall mud. Just dilute with water until creamy and have fun. Only $9.80 a 5 gallon bucket. :o)
