Jack Riely asked: >What kind of lubricant(if any) does one use on plastic side trucks >e.g. Amercan Models '72 passenger cars (4 wheel and 6 wheel trucks)?
Shucks, there's something ELSE I forgot to mention. AM Delrin trucks aren't supposed to need lubrication, but they do roll a little easier with a small dab of teflon grease in each needle bearing socket. Some might wonder if dirt retention would result, but I haven't had that problem. I run SHS trucks dry. Teflon grease is also VERY good on AF Pike Master trucks. Gets rid of that annoying squeak. As always, use a plastic-friendly grease, which Woodland Scenics, Labelle, and, I assume the stuff SHS uses, are. Chuck F.
