Many in the United States perceived Amnesty International as a radical leftist activist group.

What is the difference between an absolute monarch who has inherited his power and a leader who takes power through a military coup and after 44 years, has not held a free and democratic election?

I hope that someday you will understand that there are many who speak as if they are socialists, but are not. Their actions speak for themselves.

Comrades those who understand the role of US in destabilising
those countries will probable support me on the issue of
Gadaffi, except the self proclaimed champions of Democracy like
Robert Sifuna who cant stop vomitting his hatred of Gadaffi.
I mena if the argument is that Gadaffi is killing people, how
many people have been killed by USA in Iraq and Afghanistan,as
well as Israel in Palestine.Unfortunately our learned and
seasoned friend Robert did not see it or was perishing in
silence. How many African leaders have cling to power for long
example being Robert Mugabe, the late Omar Bongo and many
others. Those who did not threaten British and US interest were
not destabilised except President Mugabe who was their threat.
I mean the information we got from some of our sources is that
even CUBA is on the plan of those countries that are targetted
for destabilisation. We know about the destabilsation of Haiti
        and Honduras.
I mean let us not hide the fact that AMNESTY International and
Human Rights Watch are selective in blaming countries. They are
not vocal about US and Israel. We also need to know who is
funding them.Maybe Mr Robert through his internet activism will
        tell us.
Most of the time HRW and AI focus on socialist leaning countries

Comrades I still reiterated my position that I fully support
that Mswati must go,but I differ on Muammar Gadaffi.

What surprise me about this armchair critics and internet
based activists, they are silence on Israel and US the
biggest murderous in the world, but see Gadaffi as a soft
target.Who is finacing the so called opposition parties in
            Libya.

If you think that Libya is socialist then all I can say is
that I hope you have no hand in building a "socialist"
            Swaziland...

Libya has the largest reserves of oil on the African
continent. It is also the largest supplier of oil to Europe.
"In February 2010, the Obama administration submitted a
proposed budget for fiscal 2011 that would increase the
            <http://goog_1989014251/>U.S.
            <http://goog_1989014251/> military assistance to
            <http://goog_1989014251/>Libya
            <http://goog_1989014251/> from $150,000 to $250,000.
            <http://www.presstv.ir/usdetail/166203.html> [...] Officials
said the rise would enable U.S. military training of Libyan
            forces".

As with Egypt and Bahrain I would imagine that a lot of the
weapons used to suppress the uprising (Is shooting unarmed
civilians from strike helicopters compatible with a
socialist ethic in your point of view? Perhaps this
qualifies Israel as a socialist state then too??) also come
            from the US.

So, while you are making unsubstantiated claims that echo
that other - delusional - "socialist" leader across the
Zambezi, it looks very much to me like the imperialists'
interests actually lie more in trying to /prevent/ Libya
from being further destabilised, even to the point of trying
to help Gadaffi hold on to power as, if nothing else, they
need to make sure that the oil flows...

Of course its quite possible that the US could also take
advantage of the situation to try and get a more pro-US
regime into power, but that is secondary, and we should not
confuse what appears to me to be a popular uprising with an
imperialist-backed coup because it suits us ideologically.

The revolt in Libya - and others in North Africa and the
Middle East - must be supported as a legitimate expression
of the popular will, and defended as much against
imperialist intervention as against internal reaction.
