yes CT, i was wondering the same thing. if it is false than why didn't Mario or
PUDEMO challenge it in court?

i had wondered if the cow was a gift for land near his new house or around
Mbabane & previously asked in which area this chief "ruled" - but noone replied
to my question. does anyone know where Malambule resides?

Subject: [SSN Forum] RE: Mario attends Chief Malambule’s sibhimbi

Dear Cdes

I've been reading the PUDEMO statement and the issue of the attendance
of a chief’s sibhimbi needs better clarification. The story was
reported by the Swazi Observer in October 2011.

Why was it not refuted there and the?
Why does the PUDEMO leadership then say it was a lie that Mario Masuku
attended, claiming that some state agents are peddling lies when they
never told this to the Observer at the time the story was published?

Is the story a lie at all?
I've posted the story right here:

Mario attends Chief Malambule’s sibhimbi

MARIO Masuku, the People’s United Democratic Movement President was
among the close to 2 000 people who attended Chief Malambule’s
sibhimbi on Saturday.
Masuku is said to have also had an opportunity to meet the new chief
inside the main residence, where he wished him a successful reign.
Indvuna of Mbilaneni Thami Thikazi stated that Masuku attended the
event not as PUDEMO boss but as a subject under Chief Malambule.
Thikazi said Masuku had never given the elders of the area any
problems as he attends the Umphakatsi duties. “There is nothing
sinister about Masuku attending the sibhimbi. It is a sign that he
recognizes the chief. Kukabo kulomphakatsi,” Thikazi said when called.
He also confirmed that Masuku did meet the chief before the main
event. “Masuku arrived earlier and asked me to take him inside where
the chief was.
“They had a chat and he even wished him a healthy and prosperous
reign. Masuku expressed how happy he was to be part of the historical
ceremony, mentioning that he had never witnessed such a ceremony
before,” said Thikazi.
Thikazi added that Masuku went on to congratulate Chief Malambule for
a well organised event, saying he was impressed with the preparations.
Masuku often attends activities of the Umphakatsi.
Chief Malambule also confirmed meeting Masuku at ‘endlunkhulu’. He
said as much as he was not happy with Masuku’s political ideologies,
one thing he liked about him was that he had so much respect for
activities taking place at Umphakatsi. The chief stated that he had no
problem with Masuku as a subject of the area but was not happy with
some of his political utterances.
“Some of the statements he utters are an embarrassment to the
community. However, I hope that one day he is going to grow up and
start doing the right thing. He only came to express his appreciation
about the event.
“Besides that, he did contribute by means of forwarding a beast to
support the event,” said the chief.
Malambule said as much as Masuku was held in high esteem by his
followers, he humbles himself as a subject of Mbilaneni.
“Uphetfwe Mario lapha and as a subject of this area, he has to toe the
line,” said the chief.
