[India] National Convention on People's Right to Information Workshop on RTI in respect of Nuclear Establishment You are invited to attend a workshop during the Second National Convention on People's Right to Information being held in Delhi on the question of transparency and accountability in the Nuclear establishment. Right from Uranium mining to final production of Electricity or Weapons and disposal of radioactive waste this is one area where the Government maintains strict secrecy in the name of national security. Even basic information like radiation levels which the people working with radioactive material have a right to know is denied to the people. As a result people are exposed to high levels of radiation and they and their family members have to bear the consequences. The speakers in this workshop will include Praful Bidwai, Achin Vanaik, Anil Chaudhary, Sriprakash (JOAR) and others.
