Ordinary shopping trolleys are the main material here. Starting with an intervention that develops and involves visitors all over the exhibition hall, the work culminates in an installation at the Lower Austrian Contemporary stall. Cable connectors, straps and clamps facilitate spontaneous and flexible sculptures that are a feature of Rainer Prohaska’s work. Rainer Prohaska works experimentally at the intersection of art and food, where architecture and mobility, sustainability, tradition and globalisation are important themes. Mai 2010 auf der VIENNAFAIR von Rainer Prohaska realisiert wird. Herkömmliche Einkaufswägen sind dabei zentraler Werkstoff. Beginnend mit einer Intervention die sich in der gesamten Messehalle entwickelt und BesucherInnen involviert, mündet die Arbeit in einer Installation am Stand von Lower Austria Contemporary. Kabelbinder, Spanngurte und Schraubzwingen ermöglichen spontane und flexible Skulpturen die den prozessualen Charakter von Rainer Prohaskas Werken kennzeichnet. Rainer Prohaska arbeitet experimentell im Schnittfeld von Kunst und Nahrung, wo auch Architektur und Mobilität, sowie Nachhaltigkeit, Tradition oder Globalisierung wichtige Themen bilden.
