We are looking for a library to log certain "macroscopic" activities when
one uses our library.
I'm considering this:
https://docs.python.org/2/library/logging.html
to collect:
- how many sage worksheets use the library when an import is run (and when)
- time laps between some commands
- usage of bash commands related to the library
- how many "syntax errors" (and type of error) during the execution of a
certain command
I've never did this kind of "big brother stuff" but this could help our
(very small team) of users to find where they spend most time and to write
more on "tutorials" about it. (and improve).
Possibly, all of this could be done using some other technique.
Maybe there is another good suggestion.
Thank you for your attention.
