Hey Anne, I made sure 11688 is disabled, which is what functorial constructions is conflicting with. I think the 2 guards were confusing mercurial.
As for the bigger problem, are you trying to start sage from the sage-combinat/sage directory? This is a "known issue", and you just need to be in a different directory.
