Hi,

I've made the new version of the notebook from Tom live at

     http://sage.math.washington.edu:8101

after making some changes and bug fixes. One change is that
the left bar is *off* by default when you open a worksheet, since
everybody wrote to me to say they liked that change. Tom had
undone that change so maybe he doesn't like it... There's a
"Worksheets" button at the top, that turns the left bar on, in
case one forgets that just click to the left on the magic blue
line also turns it on.

Also, if you type

     http://sage.math.washington.edu:8101/new_worksheet_name

you create a new worksheet. For some reason, in Tom's latest
patch that behavior was removed and instead you just got the
help page (without even an error).

A patch with everything is also here:

http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/was/sage-1.5/2006-12-04.hg

Tom and Alex -- please apply that patch. Alex -- it has levels
for contour plots, which is a very useful option!

There is a lot of critical stuff left to do on the notebook, though
not for SAGE-1.5:

   (1) The starting page must be editable from the notebook. Having
it be a static html file is unacceptable.

   (2) There must be a way to export any subset of the worksheets in
a notebook to: plain text, html, latex, and pdf.

   (3) There must be a settings menu for each worksheet, which allow
one to toggle the default math program used to evaluate cells,
and set other properties (e.g., permissions, ownership).

   (4) The edit mode needs to be finished. Right now it is very
minimal in functionality. This may require including
some of moinmoin wiki in SAGE (but with jsmath support0,
since it is necessary to be able to render arbitrary wiki
       formating between input cells.
Also, this should support linking from one worksheet to another.
