Dear all,

the impossible is happening and I am announcing SAGE 2.8.9rc1 to the world. It
is mainly a bugfix and small feature release. However, we now ship fpLLL by
Damien Stehle and David Cade and thus SAGE's LLL is much faster and easier to
use.

Get It While Its Hot
==============

The rc1 tarball is available at

    http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/malb/sage-2.8.9/sage-2.8.9.rc1.tar

and really needs some testing. So please build and 'testall' it and report
back what happens.

Known Issues:
==========

I've seen doctest failures in calculus/equations.py because Maxima doesn't
produce the ascii-art representation of an equation. I'd be interested if
others can reproduce and fix this issue.

Have fun,
Martin
