Well, if the version number of sage-banner is current for the command
line, but not the notebook something strange is indeed going on.

Can you go into devel/sage and check if you have multiples heads, i.e.
"hg heads" ?

If you want tabula rasa run


rm -rf devel/sage*
./sage -f spkg/standard/sage-3.3.spkg (or whatver release you are
using)

This will rebuild the Sage library from scratch and also delete all
code changes you might have made in your tree.
