Hi, At a minimum, Sage-4.0 will be the following:
1. doctest coverage of the core Sage library at 75% 2. official "tier 1" support for Solaris 3. I would also like to see the default symbolics switch from maxima-based to pynac, which would I think really clearly justify the switch to 4.0, since it will have a *dramatic* impact on the usability of Sage by many users (the speedup over maxima-based symbolics for basic arithmetic is "orders of magnitude"). I think a very good target date for Sage-4.0 is May 15, 2009, which is right before Sage Days 15.
