If it helps, we have made a commitment to implementing the full public
GMP interface in MPIR, including the mpn level.
As GMP developers now have an open repo it should be trivial for us to
see what the public interface is going to be ahead of GMP releases,
no?
BTW, I applaud the fact that GMP development is now more open in this
regard. I see something good has come of all this already.
